The Town of High River is re-visiting user rates for the Town's Recreation facilities.

Mayor Craig Snodgrass says it's in response to user groups saying they're too high, and making it tough for them to afford to book them, which in turn is leading to the facilities like sports fields, being under utilized.

Mayor Craig Snodgrass says it's a balancing act.

"I think a number of those rates, I think Kirsten (Parks and Rec Manager, Kirsten Maher) has decreased. And I think she's doing a great job of going through that bylaw and getting our rates in order. And I think this is something we've been going through for two or three years now to get these things balanced out and fair."

Administration is recommending Council reduce some of the fee's to bring them in line with facilities in other town's around the region.
