It could be the last gasp for the Okotoks Oilers Friday, April 5, as they head to Brooks to face the Bandits in game five of the AJHL South Division final series.

The Oilers trail three games to one in the best of seven and Coach Tyler Deis says they need to get a quick jump and take the momentum away from Brooks early.

"That first period is huge. We've just got to make sure we're giving ourselves a chance and we just don't lose it right away in the first period. We've just got to be smart and play good hockey, smart hockey and you never know what's going to happen."

Deis says his team has a lot of fight left in them, despite a heartbreaking overtime loss in game four.

"Coming back, that resilience they have, that heart that they play with. Those are great qualities to have as a team and individuals. You know you have to keep their heads up. You know, the biggest thing is their backs are against the wall and now they have to push their way out of it."

Deis admits brooks is a great team, but when you look down his bench, he has the League MVP, a bunch of all-stars and a slew of other award winners on his roster, you can't help but think this is a team that has a comeback in them.

"I agree. I believe they're two really great teams and it's good hockey and you know it makes it entertaining and we've got the same thing here, we've got a good team. A good young team. So, you try and do your best and see what happens."

If the Oilers can pull out a win, they'll be back in Okotoks for game six Sunday, April 7.
