With all the snow southern Alberta and the Rockies have experienced this week it's great for the ski resorts.

Downhill skiers will be happy to know that Lake Louise Ski Resort got 6 cm of fresh powder Tuesday night on top of the 17 cm they've had over the last couple of days.

Sunshine Village in Banff also was hit with a large dump of snow, 40 cm of fresh powder is now blanketing their hill.

Jasper's Marmot Basin will also remain open through this weekend however Castle Mountain near Pincher Creek has already shuttered its doors for the season.
