Residents of the Emerson Lake area are once again being notified of storm water and sewer smoke testing after previous tests held in February came back as inconclusive.

The Town says the first round test was hampered by extreme cold conditions and snow cover, the second go-'round will take place this week starting at 9:00 A.M. on Thursday, April 4 and run into Friday April 5.

Letters will be hand delivered to residents between 9th Ave and 5th Ave S.E, and 5A Street and 9th Street S.E.

Some smoke may be seen coming out of plumbing vent roof stacks, and is not a cause for alarm. Homes and businesses in the area should be unaffected as long as they have adequate drain traps.

Any smoke dispersed through testing is Non-Toxic and will not cause any harm to the community.

The Town asks that any questions or concerns be directed to the representatives from Calgary Sewer Scopes or Town Utilities who will be on site during testing.
