The Okotoks Oilers put eight pucks behind the Spruce Grove Saints netminder last night to beat them 8-5.

The Friday night game at the Centennial Arena saw the Oilers score three times before the Saints got on the board.

But the Saints would charge back and score three of their own to end the first period knotted up at 3-3.

The Saints took a 4-3 lead early in the second period before the Oilers would light the lamp four more times to come back and take a 7-5 lead into the third period.

Kade Turner would add his second goal of the night, an empty netter in the final minute of the game to seal the deal.

Team Captain Dean Spak scored two of the Oilers goals on the night as well as adding an assist.

The Oil now get ready to host a Sunday night game against the Blackfalds Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m.
