A couple of Alberta 4-H kids have gone out to Saskatoon for the 4-H Canada Leadership Summit.

Emmett Sawyer from Acme and Emma Kaliel from Westlock will be presented scholarships at the awards banquet on Thursday, January 31.

Sawyer is studying agriculture at the University of Lethbridge with hopes of becoming the president of an agriculture company before pursuing a career in federal politics.

Kaliel is taking engineering at the University of Alberta with goals of becoming an engineer.

The 4-H L.E.A.D. scholarship will support students with $20,000, which will be allocated to the students over their next four years of schooling. Recipients are also paired with a mentor in their field of interest.
