The Deerfoot Trail will be getting a spring cleaning over the next couple of weeks.

They will be cleaning up sections of the Deerfoot Trail from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. from April 22-23 and April 29-30.

It will be done during non-peak hours to cause minimal disruptions in traffic flow.

Delays are expected and drivers should plan for alternative routes and leave with additional time for travel.

There will be signage in place to remind motorists of the street cleaning closures.

Due to the work being weather dependent, it may change at short notice, if the weather doesn't cooperate.
