The Bomber Command Museum of Canada has a brand new Events Coordinator.

Dana Zielke moves into the role, she says was created with her in mind.

"It kind of was, we're celebrating our 30th Anniversary this year at the Bomber Command Museum. And they need to ramp up events, and they needed somebody to actually help out with events."

She says they're going to start the season with a bang.

"We're going to start out with an engine run, and the Lancaster's 75th Anniversary. That's going to happen April 23. The 75th Anniversary marks the first time the planes took to the air, while the Lancaster we have here at the museum celebrated it's 70th birthday last year."

Zielke says other highlights are the "Bikes and Bombers" day in July, the Museum Expansion Garage Sale/Auction Fund Raiser in May and the 30th Anniversary celebrations in August.

Zielke says her main job will be to raise awareness about the museum, both in the local area and around the country.
