This hot, dry weather has fire officials around the Foothills being a little more cautious.

In Kananaskis and the mountain parks, burn permits have been cancelled, but those heading out to camp can still enjoy a camp fire, as long as it's in a proper fire ring or pit.

Gas or propane barbecue and stoves, along with briquette barbecue are still alight to use as well.

In Vulcan County, they've issued a "fire restriction," which means existing burn permits are still valid, but no new ones will be issued until it cools off and we get a little rain.
