The Willow Creek MD has dropped its Local State of Emergency.

It went into effect September 13 and even after some rain and cooler temperatures councillors decided to re-new it last week.

It had been put in place because of the extremely dry conditions and the fire hazard they created.

It also allowed farmers and ranchers to keep hunters off their land because of the potential for fires starting at their campsites.
