Among the things to take in downtown over the weekend is a bake sale to raise funds for High River charities.

Western Financial Branch Manager Linda Holmes says they're hoping people will stop by for something sweet after the parade.

"Western Financial Group downtown at 313 1st Street is hosting a bake sale to raise fund for Western Communities Foundation is our charity arm. Since 2013 it's donated over $270,000."

She says anyone who makes a donation or purchases baked goods will be entered into a draw to win tickets to Guy Weadeck days.

She says there will also be a silent auction on one of only two photos printed of Jason Glass in his wagon and so far the bid is at $150.

Holmes says their bake sale has something for everyone with an added bonus this year.

"Anybody who makes a donation or purchases some baking can enter to win a pair of tickets to the Guy Weadeck Days Rodeo. We're also lucky to have a special silent auction item available for bids. It's one of only two photos printed of Jason Glass in his wagon with a horse named Mooto."

She says they have the typical bake sale fare and even gluten free items.

"We've got loads and loads of cookies, you name it we've got probably every kind. Lots of good looking cupcakes, fun stuff for kids, we;ve got banana chocolate chip muffins, lemon poppy seed loaf, squares and a tray of gluten free cookies and cupcakes."

She says the bake sale will go Friday and Saturday 9am to 5pm.
