Work is continuing on a duplex in High River through the Habitat for Humanity organization.

Marilyn Boake says they're progressing well.

"We have our build, our first duplex build underway in the Foothills chapter," she says. "The house is really starting to look like a home, it really is quite amazing and our target is for the families to actually move in before Christmas."

She says they're always looking for volunteers to help out and there's no experience needed.

"We will take anybody on the buold site, so the day starts in the morning with a safety briefing, there is always a site supervisor and his assistant who are skilled in the construction trades so really it's a matter of learning from them, so they tell exactly what needs to be done and they provide you're safety equipment when you get there so you don't even need top bring anything with you," Boake says.

If you're interested in helping out you can do so online at www.habitatsouthernab.ca and go to "Get Involved" tab at the top and there are tabs for volunteer registration and shift sign-up and the High River site has it's shifts posted.
