There's some movement in the Livingstone-Macleod UCP Party nomination vote.

The Party officially opened nominations Friday, November 2, and they will close Thursday, November 15.

The Party's Vice President of Communications for the Livingstone-Macleod Riding, Wade Nelson, says if you want to vote, get your membership now.

"So, we have until (Friday) November 16th. Someone in the Livingstone-Macleod constituency can actually buy a membership and then participate in the upcoming nomination race and vote for who will represent us when the (Provincial) election is called in the Spring."

Nelson says they still have to hammer out the exact election day, but it has to be either 21 or 28 days after the nomination period ends, which puts it any day between Friday, December 7 and the following Friday, December 14.

Nelson says they're also working out how exactly the voting will work, in such a large riding, and with only one returning officer.

He says at least four polling locations will be set up around the riding, but they haven't determined where they'll all be yet.

Claresholm's Roger Reid, Okotoks' Thomas Schneider, Nathan Neudorff out of Lethbridge, and now Allen MacLennan from Standard are all registered candidates for the party.

Nelson says they hope to organize a series of either meet and greets or public forums between now and the nomination election.
