The Vulcan County Regional Subdivision and Development Appeal Board has maintained Vulcan County's Planning Commission's decision on denying former Animal House owner Ty Marshall a permit for a dog breeding facility.

Marshall had appealed the June 21 decision, in which the planning commission denied an application for a breeding and sales business, which would have housed up to 50 adult dogs, and 50 puppies per week.

Marshall had appealed the orginal decision on Aug. 3.

Marshall currently faces two charges filed by the Alberta SPCA under the Animal Protection Act in regards to over 200 animals seized from a property in Vulcan County back in April.

He also faces charges dating back to when he owned the Animal House of allowing animals to be in distress and for failing to provide adequate care for an ill animal.
