Nanton RCMP have laid charges against two people in the town after recovering stolen property taken from Calgary, Okotoks, Nanton and surrounding areas.

RCMP say they were made aware on January 12 that two people were involved in theft and possession of property obtained by crime.

A search warrant was granted for a location in the town where several hundred items were seized.

The majority of the property was stolen from local businesses and included antiques, electronics, and tools.

As a result 26-year-old Dustin Sklerek and 21-year-old Bryanna Hollingsworth were both charged with 41 counts of possession of property obtained by crime as well as charges related to possession of narcotics.

Sklerek has already made his first court appearance while Hollingsworth will be in court Feb. 17, 2016.
