Turner Valley Mayor Kelly Tuck is already trying to figure out how they can get their hands on some of that orphan well money the province announced Thursday, May 18.

Tuck, who's community is littered with abandoned gas lines says they can't get the cash fast enough, or enough of it.

"Without a doubt, when I saw it yesterday (Thursday May 18), the announcement of it, I was actually really surprised as there's been no dollars allocated towards the Orphan Wells Society. So, in saying that it's really welcomed to hear."

In all the Province will lend $235 million to the Orphan Well Association, with the cash to be paid back over 30 years.
