The Town of Turner Valley has been navigating it's way through the COVID-19 outbreak and now the subsequent recovery.

Mayor Barry Crane says even with the re-launch of many businesses, about half of their's remain closed as they try to figure out the best and safest way to re-open.

"There's those small businesses that really add to the character that we want to see thriving. And we're seeing a lot of traffic. It's about keeping that physical distance, attracting visitors but being cautious at the same time. Because when you're bringing people from outside, it's a bit of a balance."

Crane says public parks have pretty much stayed open the whole time.

He says they're working on getting the campground open, but he admit's it doesn't look likely the Dr. Lander Memorial Pool or the waterpark will be able to open this Summer.
