Nanton RCMP aren't recommending travel on Highway 22 Friday morning.

Mounties say the highway is extremely icy causing vehicles to leave the road.

They say Volker Stevin's been out spreading sand overnight, but it's a big chunk of road and will take a while.

Highway 2 between High River and Aldersyde and at the top of three mile hill, just South of the Okotoks overpass experienced similar conditions Thursday night and need to be driven with caution as well.
