The Town of High River is asking anglers and others using the paths around Emerson Lake to clean up after themselves.

Parks Supervisor Tannis Webb says they've received complaints about fish hooks, used line and even dead fish littering the shores of the lake.

"People should be cleaning up after themselves, just like with any litter or trash. This includes cigarette butts and any kind of garbage."

She says there's plenty of garbage bins around the lake, so there's really no excuse to not be throwing your garbage into them.
