The Town of High River is in good financial shape three-quarters the way through the year.

Chief Financial Officer Kola Oladimeji told council Tuesday, November 14, up to the end of September the Town has received revenues of $25 million or 78 per cent of what's expected to the end of the year.

Expenses have come in at $22 million or about 61 per cent.

He says they weren't expecting property taxes from some properties in Beachwood Estates owned by the Province but the government decided to hand over the taxes anyway, providing the Town with an extra $168,000.

He says the trend is showing a balanced budget with no surplus or deficit, although one thing that could have an impact is if we get a large amount of snow between now and the end of the year.
