A change at the top for High River's administration.

A little over a month after being hired, Economic Development Officer Shawna Stonehouse and the Town have parted ways.

Mayor Craig Snodgrass says both Stonehouse and the Town had different ideas on how things should go.

"We have very clear goals as to where this is all going to go. And things just really early on just weren't meshing. So, once you know that it's not a fit. Why drag it out? Just part ways and move on."

Snodgrass says the Town will launch a search for a new Economic Development Officer, while continuing their search for a new CAO.

However he says interim CAO Tom Maier continues to do a fine job in his dual role as he's also the Towns Chief Financial Officer.

Snodgrass says they'll take their time in hiring for both positions to make sure they get the right people in place.
