The Town of High River has released the second part of their "5 year anniversary" series.

The video series began as an effort to demonstrate the progress the town has made since the 2013 flood.

The second entry into the series provides the viewer with the various improvements the town has made to prevent potential future damages from flooding and other natural occurrences.

Most notably was the installation of 7 kilometers of dikes along the Highwood river so far, and  "another 3.5 kilometers of mitigation will be constructed over the next two years, which will complete our flood mitigation program."

The video also provides insight on future expansions, such as fibre-optic internet, support for young entrepreneurs and future expansion to the hospital.
