The Town of High River is reminding pet owners it's time to renew your dog licenses for 2018.

Licenses expired on December 31st, and cost $30.00 for neutered dogs and $60.00 for others.

The Town asks pet owners to display the license on their animals at all times, so they can easily return your pet if it's lost.

The penalty for not having a license displayed on the collar is $75.00, as well as a $100.00 to $250.00 fine for not holding a current license.

The Town says, a dog license is a required once your pup is three months old.

The deadline for renewal is January 31st, and can be completed at the Town Office, on Town's website, or by emailing corporateservices@highriver.ca.

If you are getting a new license, you'll have to do it in person down at the Town Office.
