Alberta Health Services is reminding us all we're getting into the real meat of the flu season.

Alberta's Acting Chief Medical Officer of Health Dr. Martin Lavoie says lots of Albertans have already got their flu shots, but not enough.

"So far this year we've had just about a million Albertans getting immunized, which is good. But, that's actually lower than last year at this time. But we just want to remind Albertans that influenza season is coming so it's a good time to get immunized."

So far there's been 66 reported cases of the flu this season, but Lavoie says he's expecting that number to go up as flu season is late in coming this year.
