Car lovers rejoice!

The annual Burnout Night and River City Classics Show & Shine is back in High River this coming Saturday and Sunday, September 22-23.

The event, which is one of the biggest weekends for visitors coming to High River, brings a range of classic and non-classic cars to town for spectators to see.

On Saturday, starting at 5 p.m, some of these cars will demonstrate their power by doing burnouts down Centre Street South between the traffic circle and 8th Avenue.

The next day, all the cars will be on display all around downtown and George Lane Park starting at 10 a.m.

In addition to cars, there will be a variety of food vendors and shops, including the usual car-hobbyist shops selling automobile memorabilia and much more.

This is a busy event for High River, so to avoid traffic delays, spectators can park their vehicle at the Canadian Tire or Highwood High School and then take the Aspen Crossing "train" down to the event.
