Teachers and staff are returning to Foothills Division schools around the area preparing for the first day of classes.

That includes the people who work in transportation.

Supervisor, Virginia McLeod says parents can find information about busing a couple of ways.

"They can go online to our website and follow, there's a section on there that's transportation that they can go to and there's a form they can fill out and it goes to out magnificent little assistant at the front Debbie Hertz and then we know the new students are here with the address and everything, the school they'll be attending or they can give us a call," McLeod says. "They can give us a call at 403-652-6547 and we fill it out here and get the information we need and then get them on a bus."

She says the division is in good shape as far as drivers go and so far the preparation work is progressing smoothly.

"It's going good," she says. "We're getting all our eligible students on, our in-town buses are looking pretty full so that always determines whether we we'll be able to have that extra room for some of the people that are ineligible, but we try to get as many on as we can. The phones aren't too busy this week but next week we know they're going to start humming."

The first day back for students is Thurs. Sept. 3, 2015.
