If there's one thing High River Mayor Craig Snodgrass doesn't want to hear around town it's the "F" word.

"F" as in "Flood."

Three years after floods devastated the Town, Snodgrass says it's time to start putting it in the past.

"It's something we move on from, we don't forget what happened that day. We always have to recognize that. But it's not something that we have to continue to talk about. There's way better "F" words to describe High River than the flood."

He says this year will be the last for major downtown construction and he's hoping to have the southwest berm started soon, and says the Centre Street Bridge replacement is still a couple of years away at the earliest.

But he says High River is now the most well protected town in the country from flooding.
