Livingstone-Mcleod MLA Pat Stier continues to fight for more and better rural 911 dispatch and ambulance services.

Stier says a recent announcement on funding for ambulance services didn't answer any questions.

"It's been an ongoing battle just to try to get the attention of the government. So, the other day I was asking the Minister (Health Minister Sarah Hoffman) with the new funds that were being announced, how much of that would be put towards the improvements that are desperately required for rural ambulance services? And as usual, she dodged the question."

Stier says with 2019 budget talks underway, he thought they would have had a better idea of any funding changes coming to rural 911 and EMS dispatch, but so far he says it doesn't look like much will change.
