Just a very few days left before United Conservative Party members vote for the party's first leader.

Livingstone Macleod MLA Pat Stier says as the race winds down he's happy with the way things have gone.

"I've been travelling around my community and into the areas outlying my constituency as time has permitted with the Jean campaign and I believe he is the leader of choice," Stier says. "He's a businessman, a well experienced and well educated guy who has led us in our caucus to a great results and I'm looking forward top him carrying on as our leader."

He says he's not too concerned as the party gets closer to the vote.

"When you have a leader like Brian with that kind of background and those skill sets, and the personality where he's just an ordinary, normal type guy with a great job to do, I think his personality kind of presents itself on its own merits and I'm so happy that he let his name stand for the leadership and I'm so looking forward to him becoming the leader," Stier says.

Members of the party will vote for their first ever leader Saturday October 28.
