With the snow on the ground, the shovels are coming out.

The snow also means the Adopt a Sidewalk snow angels are out.

Specialist with the Okotoks Family Resource Centre Sherri Mullen says they pair the Snow Angels with clients to make sure everyone has an angel.

"Clients are typically over 80 years old or have a permanent disability that makes them unable to shovel their own sidewalk, we want to help these people as much as we can, so Snow Angels look at where it is needed and help out, the registered volunteer Snow Angels are matched with someone so there is a difference."

Mullen says this time of year she encourages everyone to be a snow angel and get out and help.
