We could see a return to what could be called "normal" by Thursday, May 14.

That's the day the Province has slated for much of the economy to re-open.

Things like retailers, farmers market vendors, booksellers, hair stylists and barbers, clothing merchants and daycare's can reopen.

Cafes, restaurants, pubs and bars can also re-open for public seating but only at 50 per cent capacity.

High River Mayor Craig Snodgrass says he's concerned it might be too soon.

"I think they're managing it well as they possibly can. But, you have to be so careful and as a business owner myself, I'd rather take a little bit of time now, than to start and open up and try to rewind that one."

Museums and art galleries can also open, but the province stresses, it's subject to change and could be pulled back quickly if an outbreak or a sharp rise in COVID-19 cases is seen.

The Province says even with the easing of restrictions around non-essential businesses, physical distancing and protocols around the number of people allowed to gather together will remain in place.
