Schools out in just two months, and many youth are looking for a summer job, including those at Foothills SNAPS.

SNAPS currently has 30 youth looking to gain meaningful and rewarding work experience in the Foothills, Orvella Small, SNAPS Representative, says she encourages businesses to reach out.

"We hope that we can encourage those businesses that might be looking for someone, even if it's just for a few hours a week. We'd like to have them give us a shout and maybe we could send some resumes their way, and support those youth to be employed."

Small said the project works closely with schools, and SNAPS will also support the employer.

"If they are interested in having someone come in, and they're not sure about the process to take, or if they have the youth in a position that may need a little tweaking we're happy to come in and help them do that. We have an expert on staff that's able to go in and do those kinds of things."

Foothills SNAPS hopes to help youth with education, skills training, life skills and long term career growth through the program.
