After conducting a search warrant on a home in Turner Valley, RCMP recovered what is believed to be stolen property and evidence of drug trafficking.

Mounties received local intelligence of possible illegal activities back in April for a residence in Turner Valley and enlisted the help of the Southern Alberta Crime Reduction Team to assist with the investigation.

During a traffic stop on May 15th, RCMP located drugs in a vehicle search and a female driver was arrested. A search warrant for the residence in Turner Valley revealed evidence of drug trafficking and substantial property that is alleged to be stolen. One item in particular was a leather saddle, which the RCMP are trying to locate the owner of.

49-year-old Sharon Nicola Star Wright of Turner Valley has been charged with one count each of possession of crack cocaine, trafficking crack cocaine and trafficking oxycodone. The accused has been released on recognizance after an interim hearing and is to appear in Turner Valley Provincial Court on June 5th.
