Highwood MLA Wayne Anderson is once again holding a special golf tournament which will give constituents a chance to rub elbows with members of the legislature but also help a local charity.

Anderson's 3rd Annual Wildrose CA Golf Tournament comes to the Highwood Golf & Country Club June 23.

He says he'll have a very special guest that every participant will get a chance to speak to on numerous topics while enjoying 18 holes.

"Brian Jean came last year and he's definitely coming again this year and he'll be there for dinner as well," he says. "Not only will he be speaking to those at the tournament, he'll be making himself available on a 1 on 1 basis for anybody who has any questions or any issues they want to talk to Brain about. Not just Brian will be there will be other caucus members who will be there as well some other folks that other people will recognize."

Registration closes on June 9 and registrants will also be giving support to the Rowan House Women's Emergency Shelter at the same time.

"Golf is really reasonable but you get a tax receipt for that but more importantly we raise a portion of the days proceeds to the Rowan House because it's one of my favourite charities and we're looking forward to helping some of the proceeds go to that."

The tournament costs $175 per golfer and the entry fee gets you cart, prizes, lunch and a baron of beef dinner. If you'd just like to attend the dinner it only costs $50.
