The roof on the indoor riding arena at the Millarville Race Track collapsed Monday, March 19.

No people or animals were hurt.

Ag Society President Brent Foster can't say for sure, but he figures a heavy snow load on the roof led the collapse.

He says in the short term groups like 4-H and others who use the facilty over the winter will be without a home, while in the long term the Millarville Market and Farmers Markets will be impacted as well.

Foster says it's still early, but he's sure they're going to rebuild, but before they can even think about doing that, they need to asses the damage.

The Millarville Ag Society says the arena is obviously closed and they're asking people to avoid the area around the arena.

Foster says the biggest reason for people to stay away is because it was only the roof that came down.

He says the walls are still standing and he's concerned they could come down without warning as well.

The Hall, Quonset, Office and other buildings will remain open.
