Scott's all around the Foothill's were rabble rousing into the night on Saturday, for the Robbie Burns celebration at the Highwood Memorial Centre.

The Highwood Highland Dancers hosted the raucous annual event, and with all proceeds from the feast and entertainment going to the dance society, it was a worthwhile cause.

Organizer Jackie Roe, says that the funds raised are helpful, but that's all just a bonus.

Last years Robbie Burns celebration provided enough funding to send the dancers to Scotland for 2 weeks.

She says though the funds haven't yet been tabulated, with over 300 seats filled, and the sizable donations for the silent auction, she can be certain they more than broke even.

"We often feel we're happy if we just break even, because we really do feel like we're bringing something to the community that they wouldn't have otherwise. So we're pretty delighted to be able to offer that."
