It's fair to say you're commute into and out of the City Monday, February 6, is going to be a long one.

Even with plow's going full bore all weekend, the highways are still going to be in sad shape with limited visibility because of the snow and blowing snow.

You'll need to pay particular attention on bridge decks and on and off ramps.

And if you're planning on head south Monday, or expecting skiiers to be coming back from Fernie after the weekend, you're out of luck.

Highway 3 between Coleman and the B.C. border, and from Sparwood to the Alberta border on the B.C. side remains closed Monday morning thanks to over a metre of snow falling on the area over the last couple of days.

The Highway could re-open sometime Monday, but there's no definite time for that re-opening yet.
