The Town of High River issued a river monitoring report Wednesday, May 9, showing the current risk is normal to above normal.

Over the next few days 20 to 30mm of rain is expected to fall in the southwest corner of the province.

The Highwood River has seen a steady increase in levels and flow rate.

General river conditions are considered to be normal to above normal for this time of year.

Current flow rates for the Highwood River range from 38.4-48.5 cubic metres per second.

There are no river related flooding concerns at this time.
