The 15th Annual River City Classics Show and Shine is all set for Saturday, September 23 and Sunday, September 24 on the streets of downtown High River.

Show Chairman Ted Dawson says they kick things off in George Lane Park with the Lions Club hosting a pancake breakfast starting at 8 a.m., then it's time to look at cars.

"The show itself is open from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. So really anytime after 10, because there are things happening all over George Lane Park and downtown.

Dawson is expecting over 1,200 vehicles and close to 25,000 people coming down to take in the show, which starts Saturday afternoon at 5:30 with the "burn-out" contest on Centre Street between 7th and 11th Avenues.

He says there's plenty of parking just outside of downtown along where the railway tracks used to be between Centre and 1st Street S.E. stretching from 12th Avenue all the way to Mcleod Trail.
