The Red Tail Rise development in High River's southeast end is well underway.

Town Planner Sarah Peck says they've given the developer the green light to start building.

"High River Town Council has already approved the first phase of Red Tail Rise, that's 30 lots. And that's a direct replacement of Beachwood. So, right now we have two development permits approved, in that first phase one. And those two houses are at the finishing stages. So they should be ready to move in, in the next couple of months."

Peck says the annexation process is still ongoing with Foothills County, but she's anticipating it'll be wrapped up and the Province will sign off on it early in 2020.
