The results of last month's Community Summit in High River are already starting to show.

Jodi Dawson with the Our High River says the event allowed people of varying backgrounds to come together and make suggestions on how the community can move forward.

"It was the space we don't often get to dig into our ideas and the things that matter to us in our community and people really went there and I noticed most people left energized with, just "let me go, I've got ideas, I'm ready," she says.

Dawson says one group is looking at a long table dinner down 4th Avenue while another is over a hundred local artisans looking at setting up a second market in the town that'll begin after the May long weekend and Little Britches.

She says she's seeing a lot more interaction on social media where people are putting their ideas out and others are climbing on board and willing to help.

Dawson says if someone help figuring out how to proceed, she's available through the office.
