When you have lemons the best thing to do is make lemonade, set up a stand and then sell it to raise money for a good cause.

For Robin Toomey, 15 and her sister Hailey Mueller, 14 they combined lemonade and lost puppies into one act of kindness.

They held a lemonade sale last Friday with the intention of donating the money to people who were away from their homes due to the B.C. wildfires.

The sisters then found a puppy, Teejun on July 26th and it turns out the dog belonged to Maddi and Jeffrey Newman who are staying in High River after being evacuated from their home in B.C.

The couple had also been in a car crash and are now staying for two extra weeks while they wait for repairs to their vehicle so they were very happy to be reunited with their runaway dog.

It only took a moment for Toomey and Mueller to decide to give the funds they raised from their first lemonade stand to the family.

"She picked up the dog and she was really thankful," Said Toomey. "She was telling us all the stories that had happened to her, so we thought why not give the money that we raised to her to help."

The girls are having another lemonade fundraiser this Friday outside of Coco Lux Beauty Bar and Spa to raise more money for the B.C.  fire victims.
