The Foothills Mobility store on Centre Street in High River was the victim of a grab and run robbery Sunday, January 27.

High River RCMP say they don't have much to go on at this point, but they and the store's owner, say a man apparently walked in, grabbed a display model i-phone and walked out.

The store's Owner, Matt Spires, says they do keep the phones tied down, but the suspect busted the line holding the phone in pace, damaging the display in the process.

He says however, the theft may all be for not, as they have all the phone's information on file and the second someone tries to activate it, it pops up on Bell's security software as stolen.

Spires says he also thinks the suspect is one of a group of suspects who went on a spree last fall robbing local electronics stores.

The group were caught in February in Strathmore.

Police say they are investigating.
