A handful of people showed up for the annual High River Police Committee open house Thursday, February 16, at the High River Library.

High River RCMP Staff Sergeant Robin Alexander says they have several high priority issues they're dealing with.

"Currently we're struggling with lots of property crimes, thefts, particularly in the rural area but also in town. Vehicles being unsecured and stolen. Then we have the typical things that every police force across Canada has to deal with, the drugs, the traffic issues, those kinds of things."

Alexander asked if residents found the town safe overall, everyone agreed it is.
