The High River and District Health Care Foundation kicked off their annual "Points of Light" campaign Monday, November 27 at the High River Hospital.

It's in honour of former High River Doctor, Len Senger, who passed away back in the mid 90's.

His daughter Claire Senger says it's nice to see fundraiser continuing all these years later.

"It's great that after 24 years this is still supported by everyone and it's going strong."

She says it's amazing every year, that people continue to donate and remember her dad and others in the community.

She says the hospital was a big part of Dr. Senger's life.

Foundation Executive Director Michael Brown says they're looking to bring in more this year that last.

"Our goal is to match at least what we did last year, which was $13,000. So, let's be optimistic and say $15,000"

You can buy bulbs for the light display to honour a loved one in your life.

$25 gets you a "Point of Light."

You can get three bulbs for $60 or six for $100, with all the money going to the palliative and spiritual care programs.
