After the recent showers across province and the work done by the Wildfire Alberta Crews, the provincial government has lifted the fire ban and replaced it with a fire advisory.

Those in fire-protected areas can now enjoy backyard fires as well as use charcoal briquettes to barbecues and have campfires.

To reduce the risk of wildfires while camping, all campfires must be attended to until fully extinguished by soaking, stiring and resoaking until no embers remain and are cool to the touch.

A full list of approved activities can be found here.

To report a wildfire call 310-FIRE or 310-3473.
