Turner Valley Town Council will hold a special meeting Monday morning to discuss an issue that's already been decided on.

Up for debate is the pending closure of Imperial Drive through the golf course around the Royalite neighbourhood.

Mayor Kelly Tuck says residents have a new plan.

"We've been asked by the residents of Royalite to look at they believe is another solution to closing down the east end of the roadway. We received a pair of letters about the issue and council felt that it was important that we take the time to acknowledge and listen."

At their last council meeting in June, Councillors decided to close the road entirely as the west end was in danger of falling into the Sheep River after being undercut in the 2013 flood and posed a safety risk, while the east portion of Imperial Drive was supposed to be closed as far back as 2010.

The meeting goes at 10 Monday morning in Council Chambers as is open to the public.
