One woman who is facing charges in relation to a fatal collision just outside of Okotoks is scheduled to make her first court appearance.

RCMP have laid charges on 42 year old Joely Lambourn of Okotoks after a motor vehicle collision involving the death of a cyclist along Highway 7 back on May 4.

At the recommendation of the Chief Crown Prosecutors office, Lambourn is facing charges of dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing death, and driving while unauthorized.

Lambourn will appear in Okotoks Provincial Court on Aug. 14.
