Upon examining the truck involved it was reported stolen out of Strathmore.

After pursuing the truck, those involved tried to flee, parking and abandoning the vehicle in the community of Sunset but were found and arrested.

Allan Gowdy-Mompere, 23 and Paige Rist, 23 have been charged with two counts of stolen property. Both also had outstanding warrants in Calgary for Break & Enter and theft.

Gowdy-Mompere is in custody and will appear at Okotoks Provincial Court Thursday while Rist was released on bail and is scheduled to appear in court on February 24.

RCMP in the process of these arrests were able to recover another stolen truck from High River as part of the same investigation that had stolen items in it and was spray painted green.
