Okotoks RCMP assisted Calgary police and HAWCS in the arrest of two men.

Back on Tuesday, May 8, a vehicle allegedly stolen in Calgary made its way to Okotoks.

Police say the vehicle was driving dangerously through town going through rural areas, damaging fences and property.

The suspects bailed on the first vehicle and allegedly stole a second vehicle.

Okotoks RCMP laid down a spike belt which managed to bring the vehicle to a stop.

According to police, 27 year old Blake MacPherson and 32 year old Maxime Phillipe have both been charged with multiple offences including break and enter, possession of stolen property under $5,000, theft of a truck, possession of break-in tools, mischief over $5,000, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, failure to comply with recognizance, and possession of counterfeit money.

Both were taken into custody pending a bail hearing.
